Stanley theatre looks pretty opulent. I thought it was the Vatican at first glance.
It was good to see Mr Miyagi in the GB photo taking the tour too. I noticed the white kid with the glasses had a bullshit compass tie - it always points to the strongest source of BS. It's the latest Japanese technology.. maybe Mr Miyagi gave it him.
One thing to note though - be suspicious of street artists who imagine you in skimpy thongs. Unless you're imagining him in the same attire.. then it's a happy ending.

Evan if they are not lying about the subject in hand they would have no doubt lied about something in the past and usually fess up about that to stop the agony. Bonus!

since investigating the history of the society i thought i would do research on the dawn bible society to others known as the russellites.
today in the mail i recieved a booklet and it is all about pastor russell his life and what happened after he died and the split from the watchtowe society.
some great reading and a real eye opener to the truth of the breakoff .
Sounds interesting. I had no idea the Russellites were still around in any form. I'll second Honesty's request for more info as well. I've done a search round the internet but haven't come up with much about them.
didn't it drive you up the wall how, after a long week of working or going to school, you had to spend your entire weekend at an assembly?
the saturday and sunday that you could've spent catching up on some yard work, or even relaxing was wasted away by sitting in a bunch of chairs, listening to stuff you've heard many times before.. i know this used to drive me up the wall.
it felt like i had absolutely no time to myself during these weekends.
Whenever I complained about assemblies I always got the story from my mum about assemblies in her day when they travelled 300 miles for 7 day assemblies that lasted from morning to evening with field service even being thrown in. They stayed in strangers houses, miles from the convention ground, that were often pretty terrible or the people were really weird. After that guilt trip modern assemblies seemed like a weekend at the Ritz... actually no they didn't, they still felt like crap.
I used to volunteer for security to break the monotony and follow anyone who had a beard or was missing a name badge or wasn't wearing a shirt and tie. It was no respite really cos the weather in Yorkshire usually meant that being on security you meandered around in the rain for 4 hours at a time.
This has probably been asked before but what was the real reason for the org. getting rid of the food at the assemblies? I think the reason they gave was that bros. and sisters weren't able to listen to the drivel from the platform while making food or something like that. I'm sure the real reason is different from that though.

If I remember correctly from my history classes the term Britain was first used by the Romans for the Island of Britannia. The United Kingdom was created by the Act of the Union in the 1800's (I think) which tied in the territory of N. Ireland politically. I think most N. Irish unionists call themselves British which while not technically correct is as good a term as any. To me the term English always sounds too nationalistic and football hooliganic so I prefer British.
